I want to say a huge big thank you for allowing me to join my son, Johnny Ward, in Kabul last week. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, and i hope and pray i will return to Afghanistan again soon.
I was so impressed by the fortitude of your people, who are living with the stresses and strains of a war situation, their determination to carry on as normal is incredible, and so commendable. I have so much admiration for your courage.
Your team, who looked after us, led by Najeeb, were absolutely wonderful. At all times they were so efficient and professional, but also friendly and approachable. I had total confidence in their ability to look after us.
So again, thank you so so much, Muqim, for everything.I hope we can meet if and when I return to Afghanistan, but If you ever come to Ireland, I hope I can return your generosity. Wishing you and your staff all my best regards
